Foundry cast jewellery

Foundry cast jewellery

The deluxe foundry cast range is new for 2018, made using ancient techniques dating back to 4200 BC!

All our cast jewellery is made using the lost wax technique, using the latest materials combined with traditional craftsmanship. We transfer your hand / foot / fingerprints into the wax by hand, using our own top secret methods that have taken years to perfect. Once your prints are transferred we shape & finish the wax to prepare it for the foundry.  Your wax master is then cast at a local foundry into a wide choice of precious metals.

This is the only time an outside company is involved in creating any of our products, as we unfortunately don’t have our own foundry, yet…

When we receive your cast jewellery back from the foundry, we hand finish every piece ready for the hallmarking process. All of our cast jewellery proudly carries our own registered mark and the mark of the London assay office, the oldest office in the country!

Only when each of these steps are complete is your bespoke cast jewellery ready for you.

All that glitters isn’t Gold

Your bespoke foundry cast pendant, charm or bead can be cast in a variety of precious metals. The following precious metals are currently available to us.

Sterling silver

Sterling silver is one of the most popular alloys in the silver range. The 925 hallmark helps explain a little about the composition, sterling is made from 92.5% pure silver & 7.5% other metals (mainly copper). This special alloy results in a durable, high quality silver that is suitable for everyday use.

Argentium silver

Argentium silver is one of the newest alloys in the silver range. This new silver alloy is made from 93.5% pure silver & 6.5% other metals (copper & metalloid germanium). This extra special alloy results in a durable, hypoallergenic, high quality silver that is suitable for everyday use. It also carries an extra special hallmark, the winged unicorn.

9ct Gold

9ct gold is the most durable of the gold alloys, made from 37.5% pure gold & 62.5% other metals. It is naturally light yellow in colour & wear resistant, perfect for jewellery. Rose & white gold are also available in 9ct, using other metals in the alloy to alter the finished colour.

18ct Gold

18ct gold is a purer gold alloy, made from 75% pure gold & 25% other metals. It is naturally warm yellow in colour & slightly less wear resistant than 9ct. This makes it better suited for occasional wear rather than daily use. Rose & white gold are also available in 18ct, using other metals in the alloy to alter the finished colour.

22ct Gold

22ct gold is almost pure gold, made from 91.6% pure gold & 8.4% other metals. It is naturally warm yellow in colour & is the least wear resistant than of all the gold alloys. This makes it only suited for occasional wear rather than daily use.

Platinum

Platinum is one of the rarest and most valuable metals used in jewellery. Its natural deep lustre and hardness make it perfect for everyday wear with that extra touch of luxury & class. The ultimate in hypoallergenic metals & its heirloom value make it the perfect investment for that extra special piece.

Made especially for you

All of our beautiful foundry cast jewellery can be personalised with your own fingerprint, handprint or footprint. You are not just limited to hand, foot or fingerprints though! In the past, we have used children’s drawings, paw prints and even loved ones signatures to create an extra special piece. The prints we use can be from virtually any source to create your unique piece of sterling silver jewellery, including those taken by funeral homes of your loved ones.
